About GBN
We built the company we wished had existed when we started ours.
GBN — Gulf Business Names — is a business launch platform headquartered in Muscat. We exist because the hardest part of starting a company in Oman is no longer the registration. It is everything that has to be true the day after.
The observation that started this
Registration got easy. Building a company did not.
Oman has done something genuinely impressive over the last few years. The Invest Easy portal made incorporation accessible. Ownership rules opened up. Vision 2040 put entrepreneurship at the centre of national policy. More than nineteen thousand Entrepreneurship Cards were issued in the first six months of 2026 alone.
So the front door is open. Thousands of people are walking through it every month.
And then they arrive in a room with nothing in it.
They have a commercial registration and no brand. A licence and no contracts. A company name that was available at the ministry but whose domain was taken eleven years ago and whose Instagram handle belongs to a dormant account in another country. They have the legal right to trade and almost none of the apparatus required to actually do it.
The market's answer to this has been to sell them the missing pieces individually — a logo here, a website there, a template pack from someone's cousin — and to leave the founder holding the integration risk on the one occasion in their life when they are least equipped to carry it.
Vision
Where we are going
To become the first destination for anyone establishing or growing a business in the Sultanate of Oman — and then across the Gulf.
Not the biggest agency. Not the cheapest registrar. The default answer to the question “I want to start a company — where do I begin?”
Mission
What we do about it
To compress the distance between an idea and an operating company — and to make the quality of a company's foundation independent of how experienced or well-connected its founder happens to be.
A first-time founder in Salalah should be able to launch to the same standard as a second-time founder with a lawyer on retainer in Muscat. That is the whole point.
How we operate
Five principles we are prepared to lose work over
Own the outcome
If any part of the launch fails, GBN failed — not the printer, not the developer, not the partner. Accountability that can be redirected is not accountability.
Say the difficult thing early
If a name is weak, a structure is wrong, or a business does not need what it is asking to buy, we say so in the first conversation. It costs us revenue. It is the reason clients come back.
Bilingual is not an add-on
Arabic and English are both first-class. Arabic is designed, not translated. Anything less is a company that only half exists in its own market.
The client owns everything
Every domain, account, source file and credential is registered in the client's name and handed over in full. We keep clients through usefulness, never through leverage.
Build assets, not deliverables
A logo is a deliverable. A brand system with rules and source files is an asset. The Knowledge Bank is an asset. We build the second kind, because the second kind still has value in year three.
Publish the price
Every price we charge is on this website. If a business model requires a discovery call before anyone can find out what it costs, something in it is not defensible.
Structure
How GBN is built
A small senior core in Muscat, specialist production capacity, and a network of licensed professionals. Deliberately structured so that quality is centralised and capacity is elastic.
Client strategy, naming, quality control and every client relationship sit in Oman, with people who understand the market, the regulator and the language. Design, content and technical production are delivered by dedicated specialist teams working to a single GBN standard. Regulated work is executed by licensed partners.
This is why a 349-rial package can contain what it contains. It is not a discount. It is an operating model.
Strategy & client leadership — Muscat
Positioning, naming, structure guidance, engagement management and quality sign-off. Every client has a named lead based in Oman.
Design & brand production
Identity systems, bilingual typography, collateral and content templates, produced by a dedicated creative team to a fixed brand standard.
Technology & digital
Domains, DNS, email, websites and landing pages, search foundations, analytics and the platform itself.
Knowledge & editorial
The Knowledge Bank: selection, condensation, critical reading, regional application, and bilingual editing.
Partner network & regulated delivery
Licensed legal, audit and sanad partners under formal memoranda of understanding, plus vetted production and growth partners.
What comes next
The platform, in four phases
GBN launches as a service business and becomes a platform. Each phase is funded by the one before it.
- 01
The launch platform
Establishment, identity, operating documents and digital presence delivered as packages in Oman. The founding partner cohort is assembled. Knowledge Bank first editions are published in both languages.
Objective: prove the model, build the reference client base, and establish the partner network. - 02
The marketplace and template store
Self-service access to the operating template library, and a curated marketplace where clients can commission additional services from vetted partners directly through GBN — with GBN retaining the quality standard.
Objective: revenue that does not consume delivery capacity. - 03
Executive learning and the C‑suite community
The Knowledge Bank extends into facilitated executive sessions, cohort programmes and a private community for founders and senior operators — the layer that keeps GBN relevant long after a client has launched.
Objective: recurring revenue and durable relationships with decision-makers. - 04
Gulf expansion
The model replicated market by market, each with its own licensed partner network and its own regulatory mapping, on shared brand, platform and knowledge infrastructure.
Objective: become the regional default, not the local one.
